Alvechurch Community Choir
The choir is back meeting and singing live after the Covid restrictions have eased.
We meet in the Village Hall with some meetings outdoors instead for
those who don’t yet feel able to come and sing inside.
There are several fun sessions between now and 18 July when we break for the summer.

Come and see for yourself!
Singing is for everyone, so everybody let's sing!
We started from a love of singing. No matter how young or old you are, the joy of singing with other people is uplifting and life enhancing!
We want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to experience this enjoyment together.
Recording Sessions 2019
We recently recorded ourselves! Take a listen on the Sounds section
We draw members from throughout the area. We sing for pleasure, and also rehearse to sing at community events throughout the year. Most of our songs are pop, folk or gospel but our range is very wide.
Rehearsals: Come along it's open to anyone
Every Monday Night 7.30pm to 9.30pm subject to our Calendar. All are welcome. We usually meet in Alvechurch Village Hall or Alvechurch Cricket Club and we sometimes go to one of the pubs in Alvechurch and have a pub sing along. During the pandemic we are sometimes on line or out of doors instead. We ask for a small subs fee to regular members. Come along and try it out and see how you get on.
Both venues cater for the less able... Our Calendar of Events is Here
There is no audition and new people can join at any time. We always have live musicians leading us!

Alvechurch Cricket Club
The entrance is a narrow entry between the houses on Birmingham Rd. There's parking on site, start 7.30pm
We are open to everyone, men and women, regardless of age and ability.
We welcome people with disabilities – and anyone who was ever told they couldn’t sing!
Community
A small group of the choir sing with residents in a local care home, and other groups work together with others in the community from time to time.
Performance
We like to share performances with other choirs and musicians, but don’t take part in competitions.
Workshops
Sometimes we have workshops to enhance our singing abilities and enjoy a more sustained session together. We also have social events where individuals and small groups perform to the rest of us.
